Senior Account Executive

ValorTech, a leading Managed Service Provider for IT based out of Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Account Executive to join our Business Development team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals passionate about sales, with a hunger for opportunity

identification and business development. The role offers a competitive salary/commission structure with ample room for growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct cold outreach to prospective clients to identify opportunities and establish connections.

2. Set appointments with potential clients through effective communication and relationship-building techniques.

3. Manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions.

4. Provide accurate estimates for services and solutions tailored to client needs.

5. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand client base and market presence.

6. Meet and exceed activity metrics including outreach, meetings set, conversion rate, and revenue closed.

Qualifications:

- 2-3 years relevant sales experience; specifically quota-based.

- Highly motivated by success and driven to win in a competitive sales environment.

- Self-starter with a strong sense of autonomy and initiative.

- Passionate about building relationships and comfortable with cold outreach, as much as 100 cold touchpoints per week (provided sales resources & roadmap).

- Socially adept with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Creative problem-solver with the ability to think outside the box.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

 

Skills & Knowledge:

- Previous experience in sales or business development preferred but not required.

- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales processes is a plus.

- Strong negotiation and closing skills.

- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a rapidly evolving industry.

- Understanding of IT services and solutions is beneficial but not mandatory.

 

ValorTech offers a competitive salary range with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of up to $91,000. The role carries a quota of $3,000 Net New Monthly Recurring Revenue (NN MRR) with a ramp-up incentive in the first two quarters upon completion of onboarding. The ideal candidate will spend approximately 18 months in this role before advancing within the organization. Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical sales support and guidance to customers. The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales team to identify customer needs and provide technical solutions to meet those needs.

​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales revenue targets by developing a territory-specific growth plan

  • Demonstrate and present products to customers in a professional manner

  • Provide technical sales support by responding to customer inquiries and conducting product demonstrations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers

  • Analyze customer needs and provide appropriate solutions

  • Prepare quotes, contracts and other sales-related documentation

  • Monitor customer accounts and provide timely follow-up communications

  • Stay up to date on product information, industry trends and competitors

  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other sales events.

  • Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work.

  • Work with the customers and Engineers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements.

  • Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary.

  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery.

  • Establish customer rapport and acceptance.

  • Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands.

  • Help clients to solve problems with product usage.

  • Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field

  • Three (3) years of experience in a technical sales role

  • Proven success in developing and maintaining relationships with customers

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of CRM and other sales software preferred

  • Willingness to travel as needed

 

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Ability to influence decision makers at all levels of an organization, from CEO to front-office personnel

  • Solid experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) 

  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem solving, analytical and negotiation skills 

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask

  • Goal and action oriented

  • Exceptional customer service skills

Systems Engineer II

The System Engineer II position is a key strategic contributor to the success of quoting, selling,
implementing and managing our client’s networks and infrastructures. This position is responsible for
maintaining the design and integrity of client’s infrastructure systems, engaging in complex projects, and
implementing hardware and software solutions. Additionally, the System Engineer II will resolve
complex incidents for clients and, by constantly monitoring the alerts generated by our tools, resolve
incidents before our clients are aware.


The appropriate candidate will possess a minimum of one current accredited certification from any of
Valor Technologies’ core applications. The candidate must also be able to demonstrate competency in
that certification.
